How this site handles information. For now, automated collection is used only for analytics.

Vitr Labs is the controller for personal data processed through this website. We are an independent research lab in Trondheim. Write to research@vitrlabs.no.
Automated collection on this site is used only for analytics: to see which pages are read and whether the site is slow. We do not sell data, run ads, or build marketing profiles.
If you send the contact form, we store the message so we can reply. That correspondence is not used for analytics.
With your consent we load Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They record aggregated page views and performance. They are not used to identify you, and they are not shared for advertising.
If you decline, those scripts are not loaded.
We store your analytics choice in the browser (local storage, and a first-party cookie named vitrlabs_consent). That record is necessary to remember the choice.
Analytics cookies or scripts run only if you accept.
A message typically includes name, email, topic, optional organisation, and the text you write. We keep it to answer you. We do not use it for analytics or mailing lists.
Analytics runs only with your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act). You can withdraw it at any time.
Contact messages are processed so we can answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). Remembering your cookie choice is strictly necessary for that purpose.
The site is hosted on Vercel. Contact messages are stored in our database so we can reply. Analytics, if you accept, is processed by Vercel.
Analytics data is kept in aggregated form according to Vercel’s retention. Contact messages are kept as long as the correspondence is still relevant, then deleted. Your consent choice stays in your browser until you change it or clear site data.
You may ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw analytics consent at any time with the button below. You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
